After each ride after washing down the engine compartment with salt away, dawn soap and then water, there is always some water sitting at the bottom of the hull. I used to use a shop vac but its a hassle.
Today I used my oil extractor powered by a battery charger. I took a drum stick and used a rubber band to attach the oil extractor hose to the drum stick. I used a flashlight to locate any water inside the engine compartment and sucked away. Much easier than a shop vac in my opinion. |
