Default Florida Offshore Endurance PWC Riders-Check in here

Ok Folks, here is the place to connect and create the community, rides, times and safety updates for the State of Florida.

Let's get this going, and will any of you be at the Mark Hahn 300 in February 2010?

This all sounds great and I am hyped! What AWA membership is needed? I see there are a few different options. I want to get this going.

I think this is a fantastic idea.....I even have the name for the club picked out already Lets see some people post here so we can get an idea of the numbers of people interested and their locations.

I appreciate you taking an interest Shawn and making this post. I am aware of some of your accomplishments from Greenhulk and from watching the LB2CAT DVD's . Having such an accomplished, well-versed advocate of our sport involved in the club start up process may just be the little nudge we Florida peeps need to get things going here.

I have a name and picked out and another rider and myself are ready to start the process. Shawn, Please PM me when you get a chance.

And Gus....lets get this going...and see if u contact Dave Walker:P

I suggest starting out with 2 members. Don't seek large groups, because from my experience, its been one person at a time over time. This type of riding is best shared by example. Otherwise we wouldn't have to be starting anything like this at the end of the year 2009!

One of our team riders Warren Frank printed a bunch of fliers, and he and Mike Arnold would spread the word at boat ramps in the San Diego county area when they would see folks or trailers in parking stalls.

I think starting with a name is a great idea and then getting it organized, you can use the additional information to offer to those who are looking for this type of riding through the AWA club pages. We have one here for our team listed. Since we often network together to just do our rides or to train, why not be a club as well?

You can use a lot of the information here on the PWCoffshore site to use for promoting the safety standards. But the #1 rule all the time should be never to ride alone. If you do ride alone, be very 'heavy' on your emergency gear and communication systems.

One is None.

Ok, so moving into the holidays it may be a bit slow as most folks have winterized their PWC outings, but its' a good time to start up for the 2010 season.

Just my thoughts...
